Texas Sheet Cake

In a medium sauce pan, combine:
1 cup butter
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup water

Bring mixture just to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
In a large bowl, combine:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt

Add cocoa mixture to flour mixture and beat on medium speed until thoroughly combined.

Add:
2 eggs
½ cup buttermilk
1 ½ tsp vanilla
Pour batter into a greased and floured 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Pour warm chocolate-buttermilk frosting over warm cake, spreading evenly.
Cool.

Chocolate-Buttermilk Dressing

In a sauce pan, combine:

¼ cup butter or margarine
3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
3 tbsp buttermilk

Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add:
2 ¼ cups powdered sugar
½ tsp. vanilla
Beat until smooth. You can add chopped pecans if desired.
Pour over cake while warm, spreading evenly.
Note: This is very moist and brownie like. Yummmm.
